If there is a product that I have seen more than any other in the list of ultracycler accessories alla round the world, that is the VIOO clip 500, the model with four functions: white, flashing white, red and flashing red.
I have seen dozens attached around the frame or the bags with the integrated clip, it is a good backup light in case the main had problems or was out of battery, and the white light can always be useful in the dark, maybe to rummage in a bag, especially if you do not have a front lamp attached to the helmet, in my case I always use the OnNight 710.
As I use this product in 99% of the occasions in flashing red mode, I wondered if it did not make sense that only that was available.
Last year I was satisfied and this single function product appeared on the shelves.
The weight drops to just ten grams and the battery promises three hours of battery life, not so good compared to the nine hours of the top model that guarantees to spend a summer night with a single charge, the power remains unchanged on the 5 lumens, enough for a city use and also diffused on the sides thanks to the external plexiglas.
The reduced volume makes the model attractive but the new rubber button is difficult to operate especially with winter gloves and makes the operation impossible on the move.
For 6€ is quite expensive, it might be better to buy a 8€ VIOO clip 500 or even a 20 VIOO clip which also has the function boost in white mode to illuminate the road in case of emergency.

Se c’è un prodotto che ho visto più di ogni altro nella lista degli accessori degli ultracycler di mezzo mondo, quello è il VIOO clip 500, il modello con le quattro funzioni: bianca, bianca lampeggiante, rossa e rossa lampeggiante.
Ne avrò visti a decine attaccati in giro sul telaio o alle borse con la clip integrata, è un ottima luce di riserva in caso la principale avesse dei problemi o fosse scarica e la luce bianca può far sempre comodo al buio magari per frugare in una borsa, soprattutto se non si ha una lampada frontale attaccata al casco, nel mio caso uso la OnNight 710.
Siccome la uso nel 99% delle occasioni nella modalità rossa lampeggiante, mi chiedevo se non avesse avuto un senso che fosse disponibile solo quella.
L’anno scorso sono stato accontentato ed è apparsa sugli scaffali questa versione a singola funzione.
Il peso scende a soli dieci grammi e la batteria promette tre ore di autonomia, un po’ poche se paragonate alle nove ore del modello superiore che garantisce di passare una notte estiva con una sola carica, la potenza rimane invariata sui 5 lumen, adeguati ad un uso cittadino e diffusi anche sui lati grazie al plexiglas esterno.
Il volume ridotto rende il modello appetibile ma il nuovo bottone in gomma é difficile da azionare soprattutto con i guanti invernali e rende l’operazione difficoltosa in movimento.
Per i 6€ che è costa forse sarebbe convenuto acquistare un VIOO clip 500 da 8€ o anche un VIOO clip 900 da 20€ che ha in più la funzione boost nella modalità bianca per illuminare anche la strada in casato di emergenza.
